Risks With Boarding

While ET Mutt Hutt will exercise reasonable care and supervision for all pets in our care, the Owner understands and acknowledges that boarding, daycare, transportation, handling, feeding, exercise, and interaction with other animals involve inherent and unavoidable risks that cannot be completely eliminated, even under the highest standards of care.

Owner understands and accepts that such risks may include, but are not limited to:

• Exposure to contagious illnesses, diseases, viruses, parasites, or infections, including but not limited to Bordetella (kennel cough), canine influenza, gastrointestinal illnesses, parasites, fleas, ticks, mites, worms, and other communicable conditions 
• Aggravation or worsening of pre-existing medical, physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions due to stress, activity, or environmental changes 
• Injuries including, but not limited to, bites, scratches, punctures, cuts, sprains, fractures, lacerations, trauma, or death resulting from interaction with other animals or normal boarding/daycare activities 
• Heat exhaustion, heat stroke, dehydration, gastric distress, bloat (GDV), allergic reactions, seizures, choking, or other medical emergencies 
• Escape, loss, theft, illness, injury, or death caused by unforeseen circumstances, acts of nature, equipment failure, facility conditions, transportation, or actions of other animals 
• Risks associated with transportation, outdoor activity, play equipment, feeding, treats, medications, exercise, or handling 
• Illness, injury, or death for which the cause cannot be determined 

Owner fully understands that dogs are unpredictable animals and that even well-socialized and carefully supervised dogs may react unexpectedly, become injured, injure another animal or person, become ill, or die.

By leaving their pet in the care of ET Mutt Hutt, Owner knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks, both known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with boarding, daycare, transportation, handling, and participation in activities at or associated with ET Mutt Hutt.

Owner agrees that ET Mutt Hutt, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any illness, injury, loss, damage, medical condition, escape, theft, or death of any pet arising from or related to services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct as required by applicable law.

Owner further agrees to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ET Mutt Hutt, its owners, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, veterinary expenses, attorney’s fees, or causes of action arising out of or relating in any way to the Owner’s pet, including but not limited to injury or damage caused to other animals, persons, or property by the Owner’s pet.

By utilizing ET Mutt Hutt’s services, Owner confirms they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to all terms and conditions stated above.
